INFORM, provider of intelligent decision-making software solutions, has equipped the largest supplier of construction materials in Hong Kong with SyncroTESS. Since June 2011, Alliance Construction Materials Limited, who deliver ready-mix concrete from six mega plants to customers in the special administrative region Hong Kong, have been managing the first of their 200 trucks with the support of the INFORM software. The installation of the system is part of the wider AIMS project (Alliance Information Management System), providing a quote to cash business process solution.

“SyncroTESS is an important component in our project AIMS. Thanks to its high planning quality through fleet optimization, the system puts us in a position to improve the on-time service for our customers and at the same time improve the truck utilization in a booming market ", says David Hogan, CEO at Alliance. Following the go-live of the system in June 2011, Alliance will gradually transfer all of their 200 truck fleet over to the new system. As part of this transition process, the logistics management will be adapted to make best use of the new capabilities. Based on SyncroTESS’ unique optimization heuristics, the system provides the schedulers and dispatchers with proposals indicating the best allocation for every transport order.

“Alongside the best optimization functionality for our transport logistics, SyncroTESS convinced us with the integrated real time management enabling our people to better react to unforeseen circumstances at any time. In addition, the system provides us with full transparency of the whole transport situation, so that we are able to increase our service quality”, says SC Chan, Head of Customer Service and Information Technology at Alliance.

Thomas Bergmans, Vice President Logistics Division at INFORM, adds: “We are very pleased with the selection of SyncroTESS by Alliance. This project here in Hong Kong confirms one more time the success of focusing on providing an industry specific transport optimization to the building materials industry as add on to well established and proven ERP-Systems.”
